Conquering the dragon

It is hard to believe but Planned Parenthood appears to be escaping the sword once again. Archangels help us.  Our biggest challenge against the virtue of Purity in the USA is Planned Parenthood.  I am happy to be growing older as I no longer have children in the school system.  Educating our children to the immoral practices of free love, back in my day it was called free love.  I  doubt the word love is ever brought up in the classroom today.  No one has the right to teach our children how to respond to their growing bodies except their parents.  I urge anyone reading this to get together with other parents and remove your children from all the sex education classes in the school system.  Notice I am not separating public from the Catholic schools.  When we discuss human sexuality in a group setting we are breaking down the natural modesty barriers given to all of Gods children.  Empty the classrooms they are your children.

Pray to the Archangels and the Mother of God for the courage to wage your own war against the dragon who is devouring the morality of us all.

All Things to All

I am watching and listening very carefully to Our Holy Father, Francis.  He seems to be capturing the most difficult evangelic directive given to us by St. Paul.

1 Corinthians 9:19-23

Although I am free in regard to all. I have made myself a slave to all so as to win over as many as possible. To the Jews I became like a Jew to win over Jews; to those under the law I became like one under the law--though I myself am not under the law--to win over those under the law. To those outside the law I became like one outside the law--though I am not outside God's law but within the law of Christ--to win over those outside the law. To the weak I became weak, to win over the weak. I have become all things to all, to save at least some. All this I do for the sake of the gospel, so that I too may have a share in it.

For me this has been such a difficult scripture to wrap my little mind around. I have often wondered if I would be able to do this when necessary.  Most of the time I just don't say anything or too much.

I see incredible strength and holy genius in our Pope. We can help him and Jesus by offering our little suffering and prayers for the Pope and the world.

The Most Holy Name of the Blessed Virgin Mary

How do we carry on as family without the skilled and loving arms of a mother.  For decades we have downplayed the importance of the roll of mother in the formation of a child.  We have been drowning in the misconception that the feminine maternal love and guidance of one's biological mother is of no special importance.   Mother can be replaced  by father, grandparents or strangers.  The proof is in the pudding so to speak.  How are we doing as a country and a culture?

There is no need to speak to the wreckage we now call family life.  The new normal is too sad to re-examine.  I believe it is time to consecrate ourselves and our families to Our Lady of America. Time to ask our Bishops and Priests to fully embrace this devotion for our country and our world by openly enshrining the statue of Our Lady of America at the Shrine of The Immaculate Conception in Washington DC.

Below are two prayers,  the Consecration of the family and the prayer for her protection.  If you go to OurLadyofAmerica.Org  you will find more information  and prayers.

I pray that the Immaculate Heart of Mary will make it clear to all how important Purity of the mind, body and soul is to be returned to our culture.

Most Sincerely,
Margaret of Souls for Jesus

Oh Immaculate Mother, Queen of our country, open our hearts, our homes, and our land to the coming of Jesus, your Divine Son. With Him, reign over us, O heavenly Lady, so pure and so bright with the radiance of Gods light shining in and about you. Be our leader against the powers of evil set upon wresting the world of souls, redeemed at such a great cost by the sufferings of your Son and of yourself, in union with Him, from that same Savior, Who loves us with infinite charity.
We gather about you, O chaste and holy Mother, Virgin Immaculate, Patroness of our beloved Land, determined to fight under your banner of holy purity against the wickedness that would make all the world an abyss of evil, without God and without your loving maternal care.
We consecrate our hearts, our homes, our Land to your Most Pure Heart, O great Queen, that the kingdom of your Son, our Redeemer and our God, may be firmly established in us.
We ask no special sign of you, sweet Mother, for we believe in your great love for us, and we place in you our entire confidence. We promise to honor you by faith, love, and the purity of our lives according to your desire.
Reign over us, then, O Virgin Immaculate, with your Son Jesus Christ. May His Divine Heart and your most chaste Heart be ever enthroned and glorified among us. Use us, your children of America, as your instruments of peace among men and nations. Work your miracles of grace in us, so that we may be a glory to the Blessed Trinity, Who created, redeemed, and sanctifies us.
May your valiant spouse, St. Joseph, with the holy Angels and Saints, assist you and us in "renewing the face of the earth." Then when our work is over, come, Holy Immaculate Mother, and as our Victorious Queen, lead us to the eternal kingdom, where your Son reigns forever as King.
Amen

By Thy Holy and Immaculate Conception, O Mary, deliver us from evil!  Amen

Touch me not for I have not yet Ascended to my Father

John 20:17
Not now Mary, I have not yet ascended to my Father

St. Mary Magdalene and St. Joan of Arch are the patron Saints of Women Espousing Purity for Christ.  I'm putting Dr. Anthony Lillies writing about  Contemplation on the blog today as it so beautifully speaks to the relationship of the contemplative with God.  I highly recommend his book , 'Hidden Mountain, Secret Garden'.  He is a sure guide for our times. There is a bit of romance in his writing, I enjoy that!

The Nativity of the Mother of God - The Birth of Purity

We are all created in the image and likeness of God, We are " Fearfully and Wonderfully made."

Today in the Catholic Church we celebrate the birth of Mary the most Holy Mother of God.  Because of her Immaculate Conception and sinless life,  "Our Savior Jesus Christ," was born.  Our first parents Adam and Eve were made in the image and likeness of God.  They chose sin and suffering over the beauty of their creator and the purity of their creation.  It was through Mary that the Son of Man was able to bring us back from the slavery of sin to a pure and perfect life.  We have to choose that way of life.  As Jesus and His Mother brought St. Augustine and St. Mary Magdalene back from a seriously sinful state, to the purity of their creation, so we can do the same through the sacraments of the Holy Catholic Church.

It has surprised me that Purity seems such a repulsive word to most lay people.  Perhaps people think it is impossible to become pure in this world of dark pleasure.  Or more difficult still, to remain pure.  Without the sacrament of reconciliation and the sacrifice of the Holy Mass it is impossible.  We seem to have resigned ourselves to the lie that we will always have to sin.  Our Lady of America came to show us in the United States that the power of "Purity" and the "Indwelling of the Holy Spirit" can change the world.  The Saints are our example that you can live in this world but not be of this world.  "Only Saints go to Heaven", meaning purified souls.

I am a sixty-four year old woman of the sixties.  I left the Catholic Church of my youth as so many of us have and upon returning found the comfort of my church home to already be waiting for me.  Through the sacraments and several good priests the Heart of Christ and his Holy Mother reached out to me and made me whole again.

The Purification process was more difficult.  So much healing takes place that one needs to be dedicated to prayer and the sacraments on a regular basis.  I went to confession, to the same priest once a week for three years.  Yes three years.  I have been present at Mass at least once a week with this same priest for four years as of today.  The presence of a Pure and Holy Priest is the presence of Christ in our life.  I have so many times thought about St. Mary Magdalene, how she washed the feet of Christ with her hair and her presence at the foot of the cross when so many others were not ready to risk everything for Jesus.  That is purification, that is pure love. To be the first person that Jesus appeared to after the Resurrection holds great and untold significance.

I am obviously not a theologian but as I see it, St. Mary Magdalene was and is the First Bride of Christ.

The New Evangelization is reawakening the idea of the Church as the Bride of Christ.  We become His Bride through the purification process available in the sacraments of the Holy Catholic Church.  It is not education and intelligence that bring purification, but love that grows deeper with every reception of the sacraments.  A desire to do penance for your sins and the sins of the world.  A desire to forgive and allow yourself to be forgiven.

The older you are the more difficult the process is, as we are set in our ways and many of them comfortable sins. For me anger was a huge issue.  It took at least two of the three years to pry anger out of me.  I will not take it back. I am at the younger end of the Baby Boomers, we are all getting very close to that final meeting with Jesus.  What are we waiting for?  Do we think the rules will change?  It is not about the rules, it is about the purification and protection of our souls by following the natural law.  It is about sorrow for our sins and the sins we have legitimized by voting them into our Constitution, and so the lives of our children and grandchildren.....

On the Feast of the Nativity of the Mother of God I have again consecrated my life to the return of Purity for America through, "Our Lady of America".   I pray that all men and women will desire the virtue of Purity and begin the, "Journey Home".   Amen

Divine Mercy

"For the sake of his sorrowful passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world."

For several months now I have made a natural change from praying the Divine Mercy Chaplet twice a day to an almost continual prayer.  I have for years prayed the Rosary over and over at any time day or night as I was able.  I thought perhaps I was getting lazy.

While in prayer with my long time prayer partner God himself said, "Pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet over and over as it is I who am allowing my Son's sacrifice to save the world once again."

On the 14th of September the Divine Mercy Chaplet will be celebrating its 80th Anniversary.  Please read the message from Joan and Dave of Divine Mercy.

And now we present the last in our three part tribute commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Chaplet of Mercy coming up on September 14, 2015.
By saying the Chaplet you are bringing humankind closer to me.  (Diary of Saint Faustina, 929)
Part 3 contains a wealth of information and resources designed to help you Celebrate and Share the Good News of the Chaplet of Mercy.

There is still time to organize an event at your parish or even in your home.  You will find in Part 3 links to downloadable flyers and pamphlets, practical ideas on how to organize a gathering, a description of an event we will be involved in to help you draw from as well as a sample bulletin announcement.  Get creative and honor Jesus by gathering on this important anniversary to call mercy down from heaven upon our world.

Much of the information presented in this series has only recently come to light and we believe it is of utmost importance to 'get it out there'.  We tie together the writings of Blessed Michael Sopocko concerning the Chaplet with the prophetic words of Saint Faustina.  Even if you have been promoting the message for decades you owe it to yourself to read this material.  We promise that you will gain in your knowledge and devotion to The Divine Mercy.  Once you clink on the link don't forget to use the convenient buttons to share this info on your favorite social network!
