St. Pio Novena Day 7

Day 7
Intention [please include your own also.}
We pray that in all situations we will have the faith to persevere. Never, NEVER, give up.

Padré Pio of Pietrelcina, holy father, you fulfilled the salvation plan of God and offered yourself as a victim to free all people from their bondage to satan. Pray for us to God. Intercede for all those people who have no Faith, that they cooperate with God's gifts and grow in a strong and sincere Faith, and thus be converted to the Lord, through a sincere and heartfelt repentance of their sins. May those whose Faith is weak grow strong in their Christian life, and may the faithful children of God continue with greater commitment on the road to salvation.
Padré Pio: "If the world could see the beauty of a soul without sin, all sinners, all non-believers would instantly convert (their lives)."

St. Pio Novena Day 6

Day 6
Intention [please include your own also.}
We pray as the woman's roll is to teach the family about the deep love of God for all, that we as women, would experience this love through the sacramental life and the gift of contemplative prayer.

Padré Pio of Pietrelcina, obedient father, you loved the sick and infirm more than yourself because in them you saw Jesus. In the Name of God you performed miracles of healing in body, soul and mind. Your intercession with God healed the ills of past and present and strengthened people to respond with confidence to future challenges. Those who came to you regained  a sense of spiritual integrity as you rekindled hope in their lives and encouraged them to renew the spirit in their hearts. Through the intercession of our Heavenly Mother, may we experience your powerful assistance and be healed in our bodily and spiritual needs, and gratefully give praise and thanks to God for all his blessings.
Padré Pio: "If I knew that someone were suffering, whether in body or soul, I would ask God to free that person from whatever their problem is. And I would willingly accept that persons sufferings on myself in that would save the person and allow the person to share in the fruits of that suffering."

St. Pio Novena Day 5

Day 5
Intention [please include your own also.}
We pray that women would educate each other in the virtue of self control thereby making it possible to experience the freedom of Natural Family Planning.

Padré Pio of Pietrelcina, prudent father, you loved the souls in purgatory so much and taught us to expiate their sufferings in purgatory. Intercede for us with our Lord and God Jesus Christ that our hearts may be filled with compassion and love for the holy souls. Following your example, we too desire to assist the holy souls and reduce their time of affliction in purgatory. We ask that our prayers and sacrifices may  grant them relief in their sufferings, the holy indulgences necessary to liberate them from their place of torment and a speedy entrance into the eternal joys of heaven.
Padré Pio: "Lord Jesus Christ, I beg You go give me the punishment due to sinners and the souls of purgatory. Increase the sufferings in me that will convert and save sinners, and quickly liberate the souls from the torments of purgatory."

St. Pio Novena Day 4

Day 4
Intention
[please include your own also.}
We pray that women would spread the good news of purity to their children, families and friends.

Padré Pio of Pietrelcina, chaste father, you taught us to love our guardian angel as you loved yours so much. Your guardian angel was your constant companion, guide, defender and messenger. The angels even brought the prayers of your spiritual children to you. Since they are a presence of the living God who help to avoid the disgrace of sin and are always ready to indicate the road that leads us to goodness and keeps us from evil, pray that we too may learn, as you, to appreciate the ministry of our guardian angels and speak to them that we may be receptive to their inspirations and learn to obey them at all times.
Padré Pio: "Invoke your guardian angel who will enlighten you. God gave you your guardian angel for this reason. So make use of your angel's service."

St. Pio Novena Day 3

Day 3
Intention
[please include your own also.}
We pray for a return to modest dress for all women.

Padré Pio of Pietrelcina, virtuous father, you loved our Blessed Mother very much. You were gifted every day with the graces and comforts that only she can give. We beg you to pray for us to our Heavenly Mother and place our sins and petitions in her hands. As at Cana in Galilee, may she intercede for us that her Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, may hear her prayers on our behalf and inscribe our names in the Book of Life.
Padré Pio: "May Mary be the star that gives light to your way and indicates the certain road that leads to the Heavenly Father. May she be a sure sign that keeps you united with each other in times of trial."

St. Pio Novena Day 2

Day 2
Intention
[please include your own also.]
We pray that women would come together in prayer for each other and the rest of the world.

Padré Pio of Pietrelcina, holy father, you now live with our loving Father and God Jesus Christ. You grew in holiness and resisted the seductions of the evil one. You were physically beaten by the infernal spirits of evil who sought to force you to leave the road to holiness that you had chosen to follow. Pray for us to God that through your intercession and in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ, we may find the spiritual courage to renounce sin and be strengthened in faith until death.
Padré Pio: "Courage, do not be afraid of Lucifer's anger. Temptations, discouragements and unrest are the ware offered by the enemy. Remember this: if the devil makes noise it is a sign that he is still outside and not yet within. That which must terrify us is his peace and concord with the human soul."

St. Pio Novena & Pryaers Day 1

Day 1
Intention
[please include your own also.]
We pray that women become aware of their need to elevate the level of dignity of womanhood; starting with their own.

Padré Pio of Pietrelcina, loving father, you bore the visible Wounds of our Lord Jesus Christ on your body. You carried the Cross for all humanity. In bearing the physical and moral sufferings that continually tortured your body and soul you became a martyr of love for all people. We beg you to intercede for us with our Almighty Father that we may have the courage to accept the great and small crosses of life that transform individual suffering into a sure link that leads us to eternal life.
Padré Pio: "You should feel at home with sufferings that it pleases Jesus to send you, since you always have to live with them. Acting thus you think less of being freed from them. Jesus Who cannot suffer long to keep you in affliction will come to relieve and comfort you by infusing fresh courage into your soul."

St. Mary Magdalene Gets a Feast-Day Upgrade

Pope Francis decreed that the ‘Apostle to the Apostles’ July 22 day will be a ‘feast day’ instead of a ‘memorial.’

VATICAN CITY — Faithful to the wish of Pope Francis, a new decree has bumped the liturgical celebration honoring St. Mary Magdalene from a “memorial” to a “feast,” putting her on par with the apostles.
The reason, according to Archbishop Arthur Roche, is that she “has the honor to be the first witness of the Lord’s resurrection.”
“She is the witness to the risen Christ and announces the message of the Lord’s resurrection just like the rest of the Apostles,” he said, explaining that for this reason “it is right that the liturgical celebration of this woman should have the same rank of Feast as that given to the celebration of the Apostles in the General Roman Calendar.”
Archbishop Roche is secretary of the Vatican’s Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments. He issued a letter on the decision June 10, the same day as the decree officiating the decision was published.

Calling Mary Magdalene “an example and model for all women in the Church,” the archbishop said
she had a special mission, to which the new rank of feast does justice.
The decree, dated June 3 and published in Latin, was signed by both Archbishop Roche and the congregation’s president, Cardinal Robert Sarah. It says Mary Magdalene can be seen as “the paradigm of the ministry of women in the Church.”
On the Church’s liturgical calendar, saints are honored with either a “memorial” a “feast,” or a “solemnity.” Solemnities rank the highest, with feasts coming in second and memorials in third.
While there are 15 other memorials on Mary Magdalene’s July 22 feast, hers was the only obligatory one to celebrate. Now, after being elevated to the level of a feast, the celebration bears a more significant weight.

For example, when Mass is celebrated on her feast day, rather than using the normal formula for a daily Mass, as is done with memorials, the Gloria will be sung and special prayers dedicated specifically to Mary Magdalene will be offered, which only happens on feasts and solemnities.
In his letter, Archbishop Roche said that given the current ecclesial context, the decision to honor Mary Magdalene with a feast “seeks to reflect more deeply upon the dignity of women, on the new evangelization and on the greatness of the mystery of God’s Mercy.”
As the first person to see the empty tomb, to hear the truth about the Lord’s resurrection from Jesus himself, and as the first person to announce this message to the apostles, Mary “is an example of a true and authentic evangelizer.”

While some have imagined Mary Magdalene as either a prostitute or the wife of Jesus, Western Christianity since the time of St. Gregory the Great has traditionally identified her with three women in the New Testament: the sinful woman who anoints Jesus’ feet with fragrant oils and washes them with her tears; Mary of Magdala; and Mary, the sister of Lazarus and Martha of Bethany.
While opinions vary on just exactly who she was, Archbishop Roche said that “what is certain is that
Mary Magdalene was part of the group of Jesus’ disciples, she accompanied him to the foot of the Cross and, in the garden where she met him at the tomb, was the first witness of Divine Mercy.”
Pope Francis’ decision to elevate her memorial to a feast during the Jubilee of Mercy, he said, was done in order to emphasize the importance of this woman, “who so loved Christ and was so greatly loved by Christ.”
Noting how Mary Magdalene was the first eyewitness to the Risen Christ and the first to announce his resurrection to the apostles, Archbishop Roche hailed her as “the Apostle to the Apostles” – a phrase coined by St. Thomas Aquinas.
St. Mary Magdalene, the archbishop said, “announces to the apostles what in turn they will announce to the whole world.”

The Truth Will Set You Free

My husband and I have a vacation home in New Hampshire close to the Canadian border. You might think that a farm in Conway,  New Hampshire is far enough away from the crowded world but this location is truly peaceful. We have only been  coming here for about a year so we don't know many people and only through going to Mass and praying the rosary afterwards.  Some of the women read the blog. One of the nicest things about being Catholic is the community of people who try to get to daily Mass and rosary.  Most often like minded people. One of the ladies from the North Country who I pray with when visiting. She took a trip south in late spring. She saw above print in a gift shop in Tennessee and immediately thought of the message this blog is bringing to the women of the world. I consider this a gift and a confirmation that the message is clear, love, mercy, and intimacy with the gentle Jesus. The Savior of all the world. I am sure He wants all women who ever they are or where ever they come from to know His loving Heart.

We are living in very confusing times.  Jesus has asked me to be His ambassador for truth. I am  so often asked, how do I know He is speaking to me and how do any of us know His Will for us.
John 10:27 "My sheep listen to My Voice; I know them and they follow Me."
I have for years and I mean since four years old; heard the  Voice of the Shepherd. Over the years His Voice and His Ways  become unmistakable.  I have learned that an immediate response is the best response.  My only regrets in life are the times I have hesitated too long or not dared to give a message.  God wants us to know Him and His Will for our lives.
He is not hiding,  but we can very often not hear or understand Him because of the condition of our soul. As women we are very important disciples. We walk closely to the men and children of the world.  We are teaching lessons of the heart. In order to know the way for ourselves and to guide others we must first have that purified soul. A soul that reflects the Face of the Shepherd to the world. Let me say that we do not have to be perfect, we need pure intention. We need to accept our sinfulness and confess honestly all of our sins. We do not get a break from sin until we die. The devil is all around us constantly tempting and testing.
John 8: 31,32:  "If you remain in My Word you will be My disciples, then you will know the truth and the truth will set you free."
Get to know Jesus on a deeper level so you can guide and teach as the disciples did. He needs you or He would not have begun this great work in you.

Most Sincerely,
~Margaret of souls for Jesus

"Come Holy Ghost"

While in Ireland I attended a meeting of the Pure in Heart Group. The group was founded in Dublin Ireland in 2000. They have a priest spiritual director. They have confession, Mass, Adoration and social time. I was very impressed with this group of young people dedicated to Purity. They actually go into the schools and talk to the youth about the beauty of Abstinence. The Irish youth have been undermined by Planned parent Hood just as we have here in the USA.

The evening I attended they had a priest from the Order of St. Padre Pio who took a 3 hour bus ride from Limerick to Dublin to preside over the Mass and meeting. The priest was a youngster as well. His talk both at Mass and after the Adoration was focused on Union of our Souls with the Holy Spirit
and how that is our power source against evil. He was straight forward with the young people that they are dealing with a demon as this sexual disorder is certainly being guided and directed by the demonic. He is also an exorcist and obviously had lots of experience and good council himself. He talked about how St. Padre Pio once threw a woman out of the church because she was possessed by an evil spirit and he didn't want it to offend Jesus in the Tabernacle. He urged us all to keep our souls clean and always have room for the Holy Spirit to dwell in us so we could be strengthened by the power of God in times of confrontation with this evil spirit trying to destroy our civilization. He was adamant to explain that the power of God is stronger and will win in the end. He suggested weekly or monthly confessions as well as daily reciting or singing,"Come Holy Ghost," I woke up singing this and remembered all of the above. I will post the music as well as the song so it is available to anyone who wants it.

If you have the desire to be purified the Mother of God and the HolySpirit will get it done, just ask for the grace of knowing your own sin.

Most sincerely and with great love and affection,
~Margaret of Souls for Jesus

Come, Holy Ghost, Creator blest, And in our hearts take up Thy rest;
Come with thy grace and heav'nly aid to fill our hearts which Thou hast made,
To fill our hearts which Thou has made.

O Comforter, to thee we cry, Thou heav'nly gift of God most high;
Thou Fount of life, and Fire of love, And sweet Anointing from above,
And sweet Anointing from above.

Praise we the Lord, Father and Son, And Holy Spirit with them one;
And may the Son on us bestow all gifts that from the Spirit flow,
All gifts that from the Spirit flow.
