Temptations to Sin

I have been asking Jesus, why are so many women being raped, children suffering from terrible sexual encounters with older people even relatives. I read an article about the horrible suffering of women and children in Africa which I post another time. Jesus has been teaching me about the grave effect pornography has had on our culture. Most especially women and children. If you notice when you turn on the television or go to the beach or elsewhere you will see men in the same old, same old suite and tie or weather related clothing. Not so for women. Jesus says women dress inappropriately because they are competing in a society that compares itself to what used to be called pornography. The changes started in the early fifties and blossomed in the early seventies when the laws governing the pornography industry changed to make it no longer an offense. The mode of teaching our children about human sexuality in group sessions by perfect strangers breaks down the modesty barriers for them as well.

Jesus has requested that we 'pray for modesty to return to our culture'.
God is watching and caring for all of our needs.

Matthew 18:1-9

True Greatness

At that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, ‘Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?’ He called a child, whom he put among them, and said, ‘Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever becomes humble like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. Whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me.

Temptations to Sin

‘If any of you put a stumbling-block (sin) before one of these little ones who believe in me, it would be better for you if a great millstone were fastened around your neck and you were drowned in the depth of the sea. Woe to the world because of stumbling-blocks (sin)! Occasions for stumbling (sin) are bound to come, but woe to the one by whom the stumbling-block (sin) comes!
‘If your hand or your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away; it is better for you to enter life maimed or lame than to have two hands or two feet and to be thrown into the eternal fire. And if your eye causes you to stumble, tear it out and throw it away; it is better for you to enter life with one eye than to have two eyes and to be thrown into the hell of fire.
