Today I will begin to explain my own life and how I came to be such a strong believer in the need for holy, pure families.
This is not something I came up with or decided on my own. I have been just as led astray by the world as any one else. For me in the beginning I was born the forth daughter of Mary and Joseph. Italian mother and Irish father.
I have always enjoyed spending time alone and had a close connection to all the beautiful people on the murals and paintings at our church, St. John the Evangelist in Hopkinton, Massachusetts.
At around the age of four I was playing alone some were out side our house and had an encounter with the Holy Family. I remember it vividly. They just showed up were I was making mud pies out of sand. (That is not possible, mud pies need dirt and water.) We stared at each other, I remember great joy permeating my body. Now who would believe this? I went to the same place the next day, a large black snake had taken the place of my "Holy Family."
I became hysterical and ran to my parents screaming, "a snake has taken my Holy Family."
Upon my insistence my father took me by the hand and came to the place were I had been playing. There was nothing but sand, no snake and no "Holy Family."
An authentic experience of God leaves an indelible imprint on the person who has it. This event has been part of why I am driven to at least bring my family up in an atmosphere of Holy Faith in the one true God and the one true church. This was an experience that proved to be very opposite to the atmosphere that I was raised in.

O Come All Ye Faithful
As I watched the Mass on EWTN this morning the word grateful came to me. The worshiping of God, of the Baby Jesus is not mandatory. We all have a choice as to whether we believe in Jesus or that he is the Savior Son of God. Is the Christ Child relevant in our lives? It came to me that for those who worship Him as we do in the Mass with such love, reverence and respect do it because we are so grateful to have this opportunity to join with each other in adoring the Savior of the world.
I looked around my living room and thought about how year after year we decorate to show our gratefulness for having this sacred event to celebrate, The Birth of our Savior Jesus Christ.
Let us enjoy the season of Holiness and Joy as we sing to the Savior of the world, Oh come Let us adore him.

Feast of the Holy Innocents
This Feast day calls to mind the frustration of knowing the simple truths we are currently closing our eyes to and unfortunately have always been blinded to. To a huge degree the pure innocent children and adults have always been victim to those thinking themselves more intelligent and prepared to improve life on our planet.
Power, money, material possessions and sexual pleasure have taken presidence over the simple law of love.
I have been praying the simple prayer, "Open the eyes of the blind." Including mine. So many atrocities have been exposed over the past few years yet in reality very little improvement for the meek of the world. So my prayer is that the Holy Spirit will make it inescapable for the marganilized in our society to be overlooked.
This song and the life of this young man cover several important issues.
May God bless us with gentle unescapable truth.

Family Update
John 15, 13-15 ~ "Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. You are My friends if you do what I command."
If you are not aware of the latest life changes for my family, Bill, Dan and I have moved to North Carolina. We arrived on Dec. 1st with Savoy and a truck load of furniture and household goods we have accumulated over our 40 years of marriage. Our beloved Golden retriever Savoy made the trip also. My Scotch terrier, and beloved friend of 13 years did not make it. She had cancer and passed a few weeks before we left. This seems a wonderful move for us, very unexpected as we were planning to take up permanent residence at our home in Colebrook, NH. I believe it is about 60 degrees warmer here in Supply, NC so we are pleased with the choice God was good and wise enough to urge us to make.
Already so many wonderful surprises but the best is our new church home, Sacred Heart Parish in South Port, NC. As a catholic couple and son who offer up our suffering for the world, we have serious struggles with our family, most if not all, have left the faith. From my Mother and siblings, Aunts, Uncles and cousins. It is very difficult to watch your loved ones suffer out side of Christ. Life is difficult but with God you can find Joy in almost everything. Having 5 sons all raised in the faith and not practicing or even entertaining Mass and the Sacraments for themselves and their families is torture at times. One of the 5; Dan, is very prayerful.
At Mass on Christmas Day I looked up at this beautiful stained glass depiction of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, thinking how beautiful yet painful this day is. He said, "I pour My Blood on you and your friends who worship Me the way you do, in purity of heart." This gave me peace and I wanted to pass it on. Later in the day and since we have arrived on Dec. 1st; there have been many signs of "God with us." I will share some at a later date, for now, some of the boys and their families are due to arrive for a few days so Peace be with us.
Most sincerely,

Gaudete Sunday
To all of us who read and pray and HOPE for better times, I thought it would be nice to take a grateful path towards the Birth of Jesus, the greatest Gift ever given to mankind. I see almost every day now some very gifted singers on youtube. Gifted with a powerful message of Gods love for us. Posts on Facebook or emails from friends of songs for the Christmas season, songs by very young artist or seasoned artist who have a heart for God. People who seem to know the real reason for the season. I am going to take a break from all the negative fearful messages that are part of our culture we have thrown at us and send out pictures and music that will bring Peace, Hope and love as God intended for us during this season of Joyful expectation of the coming of our Savior.
Let us go from penance to grateful expectation and joy. Have you seen the sign that Lowes is selling?
It is a massive word: "JOY". This is my first Christmas in North Carolina, so maybe they do this every year, but I doubt it.
There is a need to rise above the darkness of sin and live in the Light of the Son of God.
God Bless us one and all, Merry Christmas!!!

Novena to Our Lady of America for True Change and Hope for America
Day Nine.
Our Lady of America, you asked that a statue be made in your image and
placed, after being solemnly carried in procession, in the Basilica of
the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C. You
said that you wished to be honored there in a special way as Our Lady
of America, the Immaculate Virgin. You promised that the placement of
your statue in the Shrine would be a special safeguard for our country.
Please intercede for us that we
may be granted this grace and morally good leaders who will act
according to the revealed will of God and the foundational principles of
the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United
States of America.
O Immaculate Mother, Queen of our
Country, open our hearts, our homes, and our Land to the coming of
Jesus, your Divine Son. With Him, reign over us, O heavenly Lady, so
pure and so bright with the radiance of God’s light shining in and about
you. Be our Leader against the powers of evil set upon wresting the
world of souls, redeemed at such a great cost by the sufferings of your
Son and of yourself, in union with Him, from that same Savior, Who loves
us with infinite charity.
We gather about you, O chaste and
holy Mother, Virgin Immaculate, Patroness of our beloved Land,
determined to fight under your banner of holy purity against the
wickedness that would make all the world an abyss of evil, without God
and without your loving maternal care.
We consecrate our hearts, our
homes, our Land to your Most Pure Heart, O great Queen, that the kingdom
of your Son, our Redeemer and our God, may be firmly established in us.
We ask no special sign of you,
sweet Mother, for we believe in your great love for us, and we place in
you our entire confidence. We promise to honor you by faith, love, and
the purity of our lives according to your desire.
Reign over us, then, O Virgin
Immaculate, with your Son Jesus Christ. May His Divine Heart and your
most chaste Heart be ever enthroned and glorified among us. Use us, your
children of America, as your instruments in bringing peace among men
and nations. Work your miracles of grace in us, so that we may be a
glory to the Blessed Trinity, Who created, redeemed, and sanctifies us.
May your valiant Spouse, St.
Joseph, with the holy Angels and Saints, assist you and us in “renewing
the face of the earth.” Then when our work is over, come, Holy
Immaculate Mother, and as our Victorious Queen, lead us to the eternal
kingdom, where your Son reigns forever as King. Amen.
Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be . . .
By thy holy and Immaculate Conception, O Mary, deliver us from evil!

The Lord Will Fight for You (just do your part)
(Thanks to Susan Skinner for giving permission to reprint this piece, written by Susan's friend, Ashley Blackburn, and posted at Susan's blog yesterday. A heartening gem it is! ~Beckita)
By: Ashley Blackburn
Exodus 14:13a,14
But Moses said “ Do not be afraid, stand firm… The Lord will fight for you and you have only to keep still”
I recently heard a podcast of a homily by Fr Mike Schmitz and he talked about this passage from Exodus. He spoke a little about the events surrounding Moses’ saying this to the Hebrews. Moses had just led them out of Egypt and out of slavery. The Hebrew people were standing at the edge of the Red Sea and behind them they saw Pharoah and his army, which was the most powerful entity they had ever known, chasing them down. As they stood there, with this situation at hand, they yelled at Moses and told him that they would have been safer if they would have just stayed slaves in Egypt. They were convinced that that would have been better off there than in this situation they now found themselves in.
Doesn’t this sound all too familiar? When we face moments where it looks as if there is no hope, no way for us to win, no way for us to survive, don’t we too listen to the lies whispered in our ears? The Hebrews were being told a lie, one that they believed. We know they believed the lie because we hear them grumble at Moses and tell him they were better off in slavery. This thought is not one that comes from God, our creator, who made us with free will and loves us so much that he would never enslave us. This thought came from Satan and it infiltrated the minds and hearts of the Hebrews because they were facing a moment that seemingly had no hope, no way for them to win, and no way for them to survive.
But it was at this moment that Moses says some pretty profound words, “Do not be afraid, stand firm… The Lord will fight for you and you have only to keep still.” If we break these words down, we will see the beauty and truth of these words, which were relevant for the Hebrews back then, but also for us today.
The first part is DO NOT BE AFRAID. There are 365 “Do not be afraid” verses from the bible. These words are important to every generation, and so too for us today in a world filled with fear, anxiety, and distrust. Satan continues his mission of spreading lies and he is no doubt whispering in our ears, just as he whispered in the ears of the Hebrews so long ago. He seizes the moment in times of struggle, in times when we can see no light at the end of the tunnel, by convincing us of the lie that we should be afraid, angry, anxious, etc. But Moses reminds us DO NOT BE AFRAID, not even with the most powerful enemy at your back and a vast sea ahead. We must not let our situation swallow us up. Instead we must hand it over to God, trusting in his power and allowing Him to work in our lives. This step of handing it over to God is not an easy one. It is not one that takes away our fears or anxiety, but it is of utmost importance. Spiritually, you have given to God what is His to save, while you are placing your trust in his saving power. One phrase that I find helpful in practicing this step is saying “Jesus I Trust in You” over and over again.
The next part is STAND FIRM. I love this one because it is real. It reminds us that by handing our problems over to God doesn’t mean that he will necessarily take them away completely or immediately. So when Moses tells the Hebrews to STAND FIRM, he is reminding them to be strong in their commitment to trusting in the Lord. The struggles may remain, or they may return, but either way, we must continue to trust no matter what. In all reality, trust is really a humbling of ourselves. It is ceasing our attempts at trying to fix things and allowing God to step in. We must remember that God has the whole story. We see only a portion and thus our attempts at finding solutions is limited. But God sees the full picture and so trusting in Him will always bring about the best and most lasting solution to any of our problems.
Then Moses says,THE LORD WILL FIGHT FOR YOU. What a beautiful thing! Our God who is all loving and all powerful reassures us that HE will fight for us. It is almost as if a weight has been lifted and the pressure is off. Why would we NOT want God, with all his power and glory, to fight our battles for us. He is actually the most powerful entity, more powerful than Pharaoh and his army, more powerful than any struggle we are going through. Truly believing in this can do a world of difference in our lives because it switches the roles; God as powerful Savior and us as the “saved”. Often times we find ourselves trying to control things and when that doesn’t work out, we begin to lash out, just as the Hebrews did. Wishing ourselves out of our circumstance, out of our struggle. But it is through this exact situation, this very predicament, that the glory and power of God was revealed to the Hebrews. And it is the same with us! It is precisely IN our current struggle that God is there, ready to reveal his power and glory. If only we would trust in his saving power and allow Him to fight the battle for us.
The last part is YOU HAVE ONLY TO KEEP STILL. This is perhaps something we can learn from Our Blessed Mother. Not much is said about Mary in the Gospel accounts, but there is one very profound statement that is repeated and it refers to how she reacts to situations… She ponders things in her heart… she keeps still. Good or bad, whatever the situation at hand, Mary ponders in her heart what the Lord has done, what He has revealed, or what He might reveal in the future. This keeping still is Moses’ final instruction for the Hebrews. He didn’t want them to miss the miracle of the parting of the Red Sea… LOL, like that is something one could “miss”. But it is true in the sense that we could miss God’s part in the miracle. Many miracles happen every day, both big and small. But how often do we see them and recognize them as miracles? How often do we slow down and reflect on the work of God in our lives? Keeping STILL is such an important command because it opens our eyes to see and opens our hearts to ponder, as we wait, watch, and ready ourselves for the glory of God to be revealed to us in our own lives.
So today, in your struggle and suffering, do not be afraid, stand firm trusting God, THE LORD WILL FIGHT FOR YOU, just keep still in the moment and be patient, because God is a good God all the time and He personally holds you in the palm of his hand.

at their side to allay their fears at the final hour.”

Novena to Our Lady of America for True Change and Hope for America
Day Seven.
Our Lady of America, you asked that the youth of our nation be the
leaders of a movement of renewal on the face of the earth. You asked
that they be prepared by instilling into them, not only the knowledge of
the Divine Indwelling, but a serious study of it, living it in such a
way that the Divine Presence becomes, as it were an intimate and
necessary part of their life and daily living. From this will flow a
great love, a conflagration that will envelop the world in the flames of
Divine Charity.”

Novena to Our Lady of America for True Change and Hope for America
Day Five.
Our Lady of America, you said, “It is the wish of my Son that fathers
and mothers strive to imitate me and my chaste spouse in our holy life
at Nazareth. We practiced the simple virtues of family life, Jesus our
Son being the center of all our love and activity. The Holy Trinity
dwelt with us in a manner far surpassing anything that can ever be
imagined. For ours was the earthly paradise where once again God walked
among men.”. . . “The Divine Trinity will dwell in your midst only if
you are faithful in practicing the virtues of our life at Nazareth.
Then, you also, my children, you also will become another paradise. God
will then walk among you and you will have peace.”

Our Lady of America, you said, “What I ask, have asked, and will

that is displeasing to my Son.”

most chaste Heart be ever enthroned and glorified among us.

Novena to Our Lady of America for True Change and Hope for America
Day Two. Our Lady of America, you said, “I desire, through my children of America, to further the cause of faith and purity among peoples and nations. Let them come to me with confidence and simplicity, and I, their Mother, will teach them to become pure like to my Heart that their own hearts may be more pleasing to the Heart of my Son.”
Please intercede for us that we may be granted this grace and morally good leaders who will act according to the revealed will of God and the foundational principles of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States of America.
Please intercede for us that we may be granted this grace and morally good leaders who will act according to the revealed will of God and the foundational principles of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States of America.

Friday, December 8, 2017 Immaculate Conception: December 8th ... NOON TIME ... Special Hour of Grace
The Hour of Grace
The 8th of December is an important day - the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. It is also the day on which in 1947 Our Blessed Mother gave us the Hour of Grace.
Our Lady said as follows: "It is my wish that every year, on 8th December, at noon, the HOUR OF GRACE FOR THE WORLD be celebrated. Many divine and bodily graces will be received through this devotion. Our Lord, my Divine Son Jesus, will send His overflowing mercy if good people will pray continuously for their sinful brother.... it is my wish that the HOUR OF GRACE FOR THE WORLD be made known and spread throughout the world. If anyone is unable to visit his church, yet will pray at home, he will also receive graces through me.... will find a secure heavenly ladder and receive protection and grace through my motherly heart."
Our Lady promised she will hear any prayer we make at this time.
THE REQUEST OF OUR BLESSED MOTHER FOR THE HOUR OF GRACE:
Day and time of the Hour of Grace: December 8th, Feast of the Immaculate Conception, to be started at 12:00 noon and continuing until 1:00 p.m. for one full hour of prayer.
During this hour, the person making the Hour of Grace either at home or at church must put away all distractions (do not answer the telephones, or answer any doors, or do anything but totally concentrate on your union with God during this special Hour of Grace).
Begin the Hour of Grace by praying three times the 51st Psalm with out-stretched arms. (Psalm 51 appears below).
The rest of the Hour of Grace may be spent in silent communication with God meditating upon the Passion of Jesus, saying the Holy Rosary, praising God in your own way, or by using favorite prayers, singing hymns, meditating upon other psalms, etc.
Please copy and distribute this message. Remember to pray for your country during this hour. The Blessed Virgin has requested that her important message be sent throughout the entire world. Please help her Mission: that all souls be drawn to God, and that Jesus will be loved in every heart. This is the perpetual song of her heart. Let it also be yours.

PSALM 51
Have mercy on on me, God, in Your goodness; in Your abundant compassion blot out my offense.
Wash away all my guilt; from my sin cleanse me. For I know my offense; my sin is always before me. Against You alone have I sinned; I have done such evil in Your sight that You are just in Your sentence, blameless when You condemn. True, I was born guilty, a sinner, even as my mother conceived me. Still, You insist on sincerity of heart; in my innermost being teach me wisdom. Cleanse me with hyssop, that I may be pure; wash me, make me whiter than snow. Let me hear sounds of joy and gladness; let the bones You have crushed rejoice. Turn away Your Face from my sins; blot out all my guilt. A clean heart create for me, God; renew in me a steadfast spirit. Do not drive me from Your Presence, nor take from me Your Holy Spirit. Restore my joy in your salvation; sustain in me a willing spirit. I will teach the wicked Your ways, that sinners may return to You. Rescue me from death, God, my saving God, that my tongue may praise Your healing power. Lord, open my lips; my mouth will proclaim Your praise. For You do not desire sacrifice; a burnt offering You would not accept. My sacrifice, God, is a broken spirit; God, do not spurn a broken, humbled heart. Make Zion prosper in Your good pleasure; rebuild the walls of Jerusalem. Then You will be pleased with proper sacrifice, burnt offerings and holocausts; then bullocks will be offered on Your altar.

Few doctrines of the Catholic Church are as misunderstood as the dogma of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, which Catholics celebrate every year on December 8. Many people, including many Catholics, think that the Immaculate Conception refers to the conception of Christ through the action of the Holy Spirit in the womb of the Blessed Virgin Mary. That event, though, is celebrated at the feast of the Annunciation of the Lord (March 25, nine months before Christmas). What is the Immaculate Conception?
Conceived Without SinThe Immaculate Conception refers to the condition that the Blessed Virgin Mary was free from Original Sin from the very moment of her conception in the womb of her mother, Saint Anne. We celebrate the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary—her birth—on September 8; nine months before that is December 8, the Feast of the Immaculate Conception.
The Development of the Doctrine of the Immaculate ConceptionFr. John Hardon, S.J., in his Modern Catholic Dictionary, notes that "Neither the Greek nor Latin Fathers explicitly taught the Immaculate Conception, but they professed it implicitly." It would take many centuries, though, for the Catholic Church to recognize the Immaculate Conception as a doctrine—as something which all Christians must believe—and many more before Pope Pius IX, on December 8, 1854, would declare it a dogma—that is, a doctrine that the Church teaches was revealed by God Himself.
The Declaration of the Dogma of the Immaculate ConceptionIn the Apostolic Constitution Ineffabilis Deus, Pope Pius IX wrote that "We declare, pronounce, and define that the doctrine which holds that the most Blessed Virgin Mary, in the first instance of her conception, by a singular grace and privilege granted by Almighty God, in view of the merits of Jesus Christ, the Savior of the human race, was preserved free from all stain of original sin, is a doctrine revealed by God and therefore to be believed firmly and constantly by all the faithful."
As Father Hardon further writes, the Blessed Virgin's "freedom from sin was an unmerited gift of God or special grace, and an exception to the law, or privilege, which no other created person has received."
The Immaculate Conception Anticipates Christ's Redemption of All MankindAnother misconception people have is that Mary's Immaculate Conception was necessary to ensure that Original Sin would not be passed on to Christ. This has never been a part of the teaching on the Immaculate Conception; rather, the Immaculate Conception represents Christ's saving grace operating in Mary in anticipation of His redemption of man and in God's foreknowledge of Mary's acceptance of His Will for her.
In other words, the Immaculate Conception was not a precondition for Christ's act of redemption but the result of that act. It is the concrete expression of God's love for Mary, who gave herself fully, completely, and without hesitation to His service.
For more on the development of the dogma of the Immaculate Conception, see the Feast of the Immaculate Conception.

DECEMBER 02 MESSAGE FROM OUR LADY TO MIRJANA
“Dear children, I turn to you as your mother, the mother of the just, the mother of those who love and suffer, the mother of those who are holy. My children, you too can be holy - this depends on you. Those who are holy are those who immeasurably love the Heavenly Father, those who love Him above all. Therefore, my children, always strive to be better. If you strive to be good you can be holy even though you may not think so of yourselves. If you think that you are good, you are not humble, and arrogance distances you from holiness. In this peaceless world full of threats, your hands, apostles of my love, should be extended in prayer and mercy. And to me, my children, give the gift of the rosary, the roses which I love so much. My roses are your prayers pronounced with the heart and not only recited with the lips. My roses are your acts of prayer, faith and love. When my Son was little, he said to me that my children would be numerous and that they would bring me many roses. I did not comprehend Him. Now I know that you are those children who are bringing me roses when, above all, you love my Son, when you pray with the heart, when you help the poorest. Those are my roses. That is the faith which makes everything in life be done through love, not knowing arrogance, and always ready to forgive; never judging, always striving to understand one’s brother. Therefore, apostles of my love, pray for those who do not know how to love, for those who do not love you, for those who have done evil to you, for those who have not come to know the love of my Son. My children, I ask this of you because, remember, to pray means to love and to forgive. Thank you.”
