My Daughter Has the Coronavirus, but She’s Not Afraid

Dan Lynch                                            March 30, 2020

Beth, my 52-year-old daughter, is a middle school art teacher. She has the Coronavirus, but she is not afraid.   Last summer she was very ill, but she wrote that the Coronavirus is different for her. She sent texts to our family and wrote,  I tested positive. I feel fine. I’m going to sit in the sun again today. I felt worse last summer when I had that virus.… I have Pedialyte. I do not have to work. I’m on sick leave. I feel okay. No headaches. Just the cough.….   Rest. I sleep. If I can’t breathe I go in. I’m sitting on the deck and the sun resting. If I get pneumonia then they would give me antibiotics. Lots of water.…

I’ll let everybody know if it gets worse but right now, I’m fine. I have been sitting on my deck all day. The only bummer is I feel like I can’t walk around the neighborhood for 14 days.   The Vermont Health Department called. She said rest and lots of liquids (treat like you would any virus). Tylenol. Isolate 7 days, 3 of which must be fever-free without Tylenol. I said they could use me in the future to test for antibodies-she said we aren’t there yet. If I get word, to contact my provider. I’m pretty stubborn and refuse to get sick like I did last summer. Now, Beth's husband, daughter, sister and niece also exhibit Coronavirus symptoms. Please pray for the rapid recovery without relapse for all of them and for all others who are suffering from the Coronavirus.  I replied to Beth's texts, “That’s the spirit Beth! Love, Dad”   In that same spirit, Pope Francis asked us not to be afraid. On the evening of March 27, he gave an address to an empty St. Peter’s Square.

Pope Francis said,
“When evening had come” (Mark 4:35). The Gospel passage we have just heard begins like this. For weeks now it has been evening. Thick darkness has gathered over our squares, our streets and our cities; it has taken over our lives, filling everything with a deafening silence and a distressing void, that stops everything as it passes by; we feel it in the air, we notice in people’s gestures, their glances give them away. We find ourselves afraid and lost. Like the disciples in the Gospel we were caught off guard by an unexpected, turbulent storm. We have realized that we are on the same boat, all of us fragile and disoriented, but at the same time important and needed, all of us called to row together, each of us in need of comforting the other. On this boat… are all of us. Just like those disciples, who spoke anxiously with one voice, saying “We are perishing” (v. 38), so we too have realized that we cannot go on thinking of ourselves, but only together can we do this.

It is easy to recognize ourselves in this story. What is harder to understand is Jesus’ attitude. While his disciples are quite naturally alarmed and desperate, he stands in the stern, in the part of the boat that sinks first. And what does he do? In spite of the tempest, he sleeps on soundly, trusting in the Father; this is the only time in the Gospels we see Jesus sleeping. When he wakes up, after calming the wind and the waters, he turns to the disciples in a reproaching voice: “Why are you afraid? Have you no faith?” (v. 40).

The storm exposes our vulnerability and uncovers those false and superfluous certainties around which we have constructed our daily schedules, our projects, our habits and priorities. It shows us how we have allowed to become dull and feeble the very things that nourish, sustain and strengthen our lives and our communities. The tempest lays bare all our prepackaged ideas and forgetfulness of what nourishes our people’s souls; all those attempts that anesthetize us with ways of thinking and acting that supposedly “save” us, but instead prove incapable of putting us in touch with our roots and keeping alive the memory of those who have gone before us. We deprive ourselves of the antibodies we need to confront adversity.

In this storm, the façade of those stereotypes with which we camouflaged our egos, always worrying about our image, has fallen away, uncovering once more that (blessed) common belonging, of which we cannot be deprived: our belonging as brothers and sisters.

“Why are you afraid? Have you no faith?” Lord, your word this evening strikes us and regards us, all of us. In this world, that you love more than we do, we have gone ahead at breakneck speed, feeling powerful and able to do anything. Greedy for profit, we let ourselves get caught up in things, and lured away by haste. We did not stop at your reproach to us, we were not shaken awake by wars or injustice across the world, nor did we listen to the cry of the poor or of our ailing planet. We carried on regardless, thinking we would stay healthy in a world that was sick. Now that we are in a stormy sea, we implore you: “Wake up, Lord!”.

“Why are you afraid? Have you no faith?” Lord, you are calling to us, calling us to faith. Which is not so much believing that you exist, but coming to you and trusting in you. This Lent your call reverberates urgently: “Be converted!”, “Return to me with all your heart.” (Joel 2:12).

Later that evening, Pope Francis said, “Tell us again: ‘Do not be afraid’ (Matthew 28:5). And we, together with Peter, ‘cast all our anxieties onto you, for you care about us.’”

God’s call to be converted resounds in our hearts this Lent, the Pope said. This is a time, he said, “to separate what is necessary from what is not. It is a time to get our lives back on track with regard to you, Lord, and to others.”

Our Lady's Medjugorje message 25/03/2020

“Dear children
I am with you all these years to lead you on the path of salvation. Return to my Son, return to prayer and fasting. Little children, let God speak to your heart, for satan rules and wants to destroy your lives and the land you walk on. Be brave and decide for holiness. You will see conversion in your hearts and families, prayer will be heard, God will hear your cries and give you peace. I am with you and I bless you all with my motherly blessing. Thank you for having responded to my call. "

Our Lady of America and the Annunciation of Our Lord March 25, 2020

“Thus save them from the scourge of Heaven both now and hereafter.”

Dear Friend of Our Lady of America,

As we mark this Feast of the Annunciation of the angel Gabriel to Mary, we recall her own announcement to the people of America to “make known the longings of my Immaculate Heart, to establish the reign of my Divine Son in the hearts of men and thus save them from the scourge of Heaven, both now and hereafter.”

Our Lady of America asked for our purity and the imitation of her and Joseph, her chaste spouse, in their holy family life. She promised our peace and protection if we honored her requests, and chastisement if we did not. Former St. Louis Archbishop, now Cardinal Raymond L. Burke, wrote that the devotion is “canonically approved.”

The best ways to honor Our Lady of America’s requests are to wear her medal of protection, host Visitations of her Image and pray her  prayers. Learn how to practice the devotion! This will help to mitigate chastisements and save us from her prophesied “scourge of Heaven.”

The next best thing you can do is help support our ministry as we seek to spread this most important devotion to many more people.

The Medal

Our Lady of America requested that a medal be struck which is the only medal in the world revealed by Our Lady with promises of the graces of purity of heart, love of Mary and Jesus and a shield of  protection against evil spirits. Engraved on the medal is the ejaculation, “By thy Holy and Immaculate Conception O Mary, deliver us from evil.” Click here to order the medal.

Your generous gift today will help us to carry out our mission to help Our Lady of America to end our Culture of Death and to lead the world to purity and peace through her protection.

And you can help to do this by hosting a Visitation of her Image, wearing her medal and praying her prayers. The faithful are venerating the Image and using my booklet to conduct Holy Hours of Prayer for Purity, Peace and Protection in their homes and  parishes.

Our Lady also promised that the placement of her image in the home would be a safeguard for the family. You may get your image here.

Our Lady of America said, “Trust me and love me. I so desire it. Do not forget your poor Mother who weeps over the loss of so many of her children. My Son asks of souls love, that true love willing to sacrifice itself for the one loved. Man fears to sacrifice himself because he is selfish.  If souls would place themselves into my keeping, I would teach them the way of true love.”

Thank you for your generosity!

In Our Lady’s Heart,
Dan Lynch

Protect us from Evil!

Fear has gripped the world.  Pandemic and a sharp economic decline are makeing whatever earthly security we may have (thought we) had seem week and fleeting.  We all know circumstances can change in a flash, but never before has the entire world faced the same uncertainty and threat simultaneoulsy.   Global travel and interconnected economies are making this perhaps the first simultaneous and worldwide challnge to our well being. Only the two world wars could come close.

However, it is our reaction to these events that will foretell how we will fare as individuals, families, nations and world.

Prudence is certainly necessary to slow and prevent the spread.  But what about hope, faith and trust in Divine Providence?

From the messages of Our Lady of America to Sr. Mary Ephrem.  Here Sr. Ephrem gives here summary:
But the youth must be prepared, and this must be done by instilling into them, not only the knowledge of the Divine Indwelling, but a serious study of It, living It in such a way that the Divine Presence becomes, as it were, an intimate and necessary part of their life and daily living. From this will flow a great love, a conflagration that will envelop the world in the flames of Divine Charity. This is what Our Lady is working for, because this is the great desire of her Divine Son, and it is to the youth of America that she is holding out this challenge. A medal which Our Lady asked to be made is to be their shield against evil, the picture or statue of Our Lady, the protection of the home, the statue at the Shrine in Washington, D.C., a special safeguard for our country. America, the United States in particular, is being given the tremendous, yet privileged, opportunity to lead all nations in a spiritual renewal never before so necessary, so important, so vital.

Our Lady of America has great hope for the youth!  And this present, far reaching and virtually universal experience may be part of their formation.  She calls our youth to focus on the Divine Indwelling as an intimate and necessary part of life and daily living.   Necessary!

Furthermore, she goes on to identify the three levels of protection that are available through this devotion: The first being personal protection available through the prayers and the wearing of the medal;  The second is family protection available through the prayers and the image of Our Lady of America in the home; and The third being the protection of our Nation and the world through the solemn procession of Our Lady of America into the Basilica Shrine of the Immaculate Conception by the Bishops.

The first two promises of protection are available now. The medal was struck by Archbishop Leibold in the early 1960's and is available.  Her image to be placed in the home is available for free download.

And the bishops are working on the fulfillment of her third request, to be processed by them into the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception.

So, is Covid-19 evil?  I can’t judge that.  Anything that keeps us from Mass and participation in the Sacraments certainly has an evil effect.  But, God is so powerful that he can confound the devil, taking evil and producing good from it.

Take advantage of what Our Lady of America has already given us - the prayers, image and medal.  Pray for the bishops to fulfill her request of the solemn procession.

These are the steps she outlines to protect us from evil.   Let us have faith and hope in her intercession before Our Lord and Savior.  And let's pray with greatest hope that we will be back in our Churches for Easter!

P.S.Please offer a special prayer for the safety and health of our priests.  They are on the front line as they courageously provide the Sacraments to the dying

The End of an Era

Todays March 18 th message to Mirjana

Dear children,

My Son as God has always looked beyond time. I, as his mother, see through him through his time. I see beautiful things and bad things . But I see that there is love and it must be made sure that it is made manifest. My children, you cannot be happy if you do not love one another, if you do not have love in every situation and in every moment of your life. And I as a mother come to you through love.

To help you know true love, to know my Son. This is why I call you to continually renew your thirst for love, faith and hope. The only source from which you can quench your thirst is trust in God, my Son. My children in times of anxiety and renunciation, it is enough that you seek the face of my Son .

Live his words and don’t be afraid. Pray and love with sincere feelings, with good deeds and help that the world changes and my heart triumphs. Like my Son, I also tell you to love one another , because without love there is no salvation. I thank you my children

A Prayer from Helene

May we unite in prayer...
and plead that God would open the eyes of our hearts (in our present day sufferings) and that He would grant us the grace to turn back to Him.  That we may have the courage to humbly repent...for His mercy endures forever.
He is patiently waiting for us...but how much more can He take?  His Sacred Heart is already pierced out of deep love for us.

Peace and blessings,
Helene💞

Mirjana Medjugorgie Message 3.2.30

Dear children,   Your pure and sincere love draws my motherly heart. Your faith and trust in the Heavenly Father are fragrant roses which you offer to me-the most beautiful bouquets of roses which consist of your prayers, acts of mercy and of love.   Apostles of my love, you who sincerely and with a pure heart strive to follow my Son, you who sincerely love Him, you help; you be an example to those who have not yet come to know the love of my Son-but, my children, not only with words but also with acts and pure feelings through which you glorify the Heavenly Father.   Apostles of my love, it is a time of vigilance, and of you I am asking for love, that you not judge-anyone. Because the Heavenly Father will judge everyone.   I am asking that you love, that you convey the truth; because truth is old, it is not new, it is eternal, it is truth. It testifies to God's eternity. Bring the light of my Son and keep breaking the darkness which all the more wants to seize you. Do not be afraid. Through the grace and the love of my Son, I am with you. Thank you.
